Wendigo Wikia The Wendigo is a mythical creature appearing in the mythology of the Algonquian people. It is a malevolent cannibalistic spirit into which humans could transform, or which could possess humans. Those who indulged in cannibalism were at particular risk, and the legend appears to have reinforced this practice as a taboo. All cultures in which the Wendigo myth appeared shared the belief that human beings could turn into Wendigos if they ever resorted to cannibalism or, alternatively, become possessed by the demonic spirit of a Wendigo, often in a dream. Once transformed, a person would become violent and obsessed with eating human flesh. The most frequent cause of transformation into a Wendigo was if a person had resorted to cannibalism, consuming the body of another human in order to keep from starving to death during a time of extreme hardship or famine. Among northern Algonquian cultures, cannibalism, even to save one's own life, was viewed as a serious taboo; the proper response to famine was suicide or resignation to death. On one level, the Wendigo myth thus worked as a deterrent and a warning against resorting to cannibalism; those who did would become Wendigo monsters themselves.


History: When she was young her father and she became lost in a blizzard forcing her to turn to cannibalism, after eating her father she began to notice changes. And finally after devouring all of her father she became a Wendigo. After some time she met a human man and suppressed her true nature to be with him and he ran away from his tribe to live with her. But after a raid on their isolated home resulting in his death, she succumbed to The Hunger. She ate the families of those responsible for her loves death, making them watch, then ate them. Later destroying 10 (or more) villages she realized what she was doing and suppressed herself again. When she learned about Arvéetus Haven and its mission she set out to her those like her learn to control themselves so they will never make the same mistake she did.

Personality: Friendly, kind and loving; unless she hasn’t eaten or succumbs to The Hunger, then she becomes aloof, rude, greedy and homicidal. Loves to exercise to distract herself from The Hunger and to keep up her muscles so she doesn’t appear too skeletal. Truly wants to help others learn to control their primal urges. Due to her lack of “human” contact she is somewhat naïve on social norms/customs but takes her mistake with stride. She is sometimes blunt to the point were it hurts. Tries to socialize as much as possible to remind herself to be a person not a beast. She looks tired due to her excessive exercise and constant hunger. Eats large animals, candy and raw meats in substitute of human flesh.

Dislikes: Ruffians/heathens, heat and fire, having no food/meat, lack of discipline or self control, technology, the indoors

Strengths: Super human speed, strength and senses. Telepathy (with Achak), Some control over frost/snow

Weaknesses: Blood/raw meat (especially human), small cute things, any type of heat or flames, long periods without food
